COMMUNITY-BASED INSTRUCTION

ABA therapy services will primarily be delivered in your home, but in order to provide the most effective implementation of ABA therapy and ensure generalization across settings and individuals, one-to-one services will also be delivered in community settings (e.g. restaurants, parks, malls, stores, etc.), also known as community-based instruction, which will help promote your child’s learning and ensure that skills being acquired are used by your child during all aspects of their daily.

Community-based instruction should be scheduled at minimum two times per month. Community outings may include but are not limited to outings at: park, walks in your neighborhood, library, local stores, local community events, etc.
